Job summary

ESP Associates, Inc. is seeking a Survey Crew Chief in Wilmington, NC to lead field surveying crews on conventional, robotic, and GPS projects. The role requires strong organization and leadership as you supervise crews and coordinate field activities in dynamic environments.

Travel to out-of-town assignments is expected. The firm offers a broad range of engineering and surveying services and a robust benefits package as part of a growing company with a national reputation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of land surveying experience, preferably in construction staking
• Associate’s degree in surveying/geomatics or related field preferred
• SIT or PLS preferred but not required
• Experience with Trimble data collection and GPS/robotic total stations is a plus

ESP Associates, Inc. is currently recruiting for a Survey Crew Chief in Wilmington, NC. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and growing Engineering, Surveying and Planning firm!

Responsibilities:

• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Demonstrated ability to supervise field crews during various conventional, robotic and GPS land surveying projects
• Ability to travel out of town on assignments.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in land surveying required (preferably in construction staking environment)
• Associate’s degree in surveying/geomatics, civil engineering or related field preferred
• SIT or PLS preferred but not required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, navigational programs, CADD programs and Trimble Business Center preferred
• Experience with Trimble data collection, GPS receivers and robotic total stations considered a plus
• DOT and route survey experience considered a plus
• Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.
