Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to oversee field crews in Atlanta, GA.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong measurement and data collection skills, and the ability to coordinate with office staff and clients. Responsibilities include directing data collection with GPS and robotic total stations, ensuring safety and PPE compliance, maintaining daily timesheets and reports, and traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience conducting surveys.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead survey crews on day to day operations.
• Utilize data collectors, robotic total stations and GPS equipment.
• Coordinate with office staff and clients as required.
• Ensure crew is properly equipped with PPE and follows safety procedures.
• Maintain daily timesheets, reports, and vehicle inspections.

Job Title: Survey Crew Chief

Work Location: Atlanta, GA ***

Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview

Duties/Responsibilities

• Utilizing data collectors, robotic total stations and GPS equipment.
• File transfers will be performed remotely on a daily basis.
• Leads crews on day to day operations.
• Ensures crew is properly equipped with personal protection equipment.
• Ensures crew follows company safety procedures.
• Coordinates with office staff and clients as required.
• Adheres to local, state, and federal survey regulations as well as Accura Engineering procedures.
• Monitors accurate completion of daily timesheets, reports, and vehicle inspections

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience conducting a variety of survey
• Experience with Transportation Database Surveys is desirable.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Must be willing and able to travel as required for the role.

Physical Requirements

• Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments
• Ability to carry required instruments and equipment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• The worker is subject to variable climate and environmental conditions including but not limited to extreme cold and heat.
