(CEC) in Indianapolis is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities

• Lead field operations and direct a crew on various projects such as topographic, boundary, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, and construction stakeouts.
• Operate and troubleshoot advanced survey equipment independently, including Trimble robotic total stations and GPS.
• Ensure data integrity and QA/QC by maintaining detailed field notes and performing on‑site quality control.
• Manage project schedules, coordinate with project managers and clients, and mentor junior crew members.
• Apply experience to solve complex field challenges and adapt to changing project conditions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of survey crew chief experience.
• Demonstrated experience in the use of GPS devices, data collectors, and/or total stations.
• Independent judgment and initiative.
• Knowledge of principles, techniques, and practices of land surveying.
• Knowledge of computer‑aided drafting and civil engineering principles and construction specifications.
• Knowledge of industry‑specific safe workplace practices.
• Familiarity with column and bolt‑pattern layout and as‑built surveys, detailed topographic and ADA surveys.
• Ability to operate motorized equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors under various field conditions.
• Some travel may be required.
• Valid driver’s license.
