Job summary

ESP, a multi-discipline engineering design and surveying firm, seeks an experienced land surveyor to lead field crews and perform GPS, static, RTK, and VRS surveys. The role requires familiarity with Trimble data collection, GPS receivers, and robotic total stations, plus strong organizational skills for project delivery.

Candidates with an Associate degree or higher in surveying/geomatics, SIT/PLS registration preferred, and 4+ years in land surveying are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GPS surveying including static, RTK, and VRS required.
• Experience with Trimble data collection and robotic total stations preferred.
• Associates degree or higher in surveying/geomatics/civil engineering; SIT/PLS registration preferred but not required.
• 4+ years of land surveying experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead field crew in conventional, robotic and GPS land surveying projects.
• Submit daily files, download data, and prepare field sketches and photos.
• Maintain daily checklists and timesheets and navigate vehicles as needed.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and navigation software for project coordination.

Qualifications:

• Position requires comprehensive knowledge of GPS surveying including static, fast static, RTK, and VRS.
• Experience with Trimble data collection, GPS receivers, and robotic total stations are required.
• Associates degree or higher in surveying technology, geomatics, civil engineering, or related field with registration as an SIT or PLS preferred, but not required.
• 4+ years of experience in land surveying preferred.
• Candidate will be required to demonstrate strong management and organizational skills while running a field crew in providing various conventional, robotic and GPS land surveying projects.
• Computer skills involved in the submittal of daily files including downloading of data, preparation/organization of field sketches & digital photographs, completion of daily checklists & timesheets, and vehicle navigation are required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, navigational programs, and Trimble Data Transfer a plus.
