Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a Surveying / Subsurface Utility Engineering professional to oversee the data processing phase of field survey projects in the North Charleston, SC area. This full-time position requires handling topographic plotting, design file generation, and meticulous data QA/QC.

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years of survey data reduction experience with AutoCAD, Carlson, or MicroStation, and possess a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

Must pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Able to pass a Background Check.

Responsibilities

Performs topographic plotting, terrain modeling, plat preparation, note reduction and design file generation.
Performs office survey activities in accordance with Minimum Standards of Practice for Surveying.
Performs property owner and utility records research.
Performs office computations necessary for the completion of task assignments including QA/QC.
Tracks job progress and coordinates information for stakeout services.
Analyzes raw data for mathematical closure and geometric accuracy.
Prepares finished grade sheets, topographic maps, records of survey, corner records and other survey reports.
