Job summary

LJA Engineering, Inc. in Pensacola, FL is seeking a CAD Technician to provide drafting support for assigned projects with working knowledge of surveying technology. You will contribute to survey plats, exhibits, and construction layouts under supervision and in collaboration with field crews.

The role requires 2–5 years of survey experience, CADD fluency, and strong communication. Trimble Business Center is preferred.

• CADD experience required
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Process field notes and data, analyze field data, and interact with survey field crews
• Create survey plats, sketches, and exhibits including builder services surveys
• Create Survey Control Data Sheets and related control sheets
• Compute data points for construction layout
• Understand Florida standards of practice for surveys
• Write or check metes and bounds descriptions
