Job summary

Pape-Dawson in Orlando, FL is seeking a Survey CAD Technician to provide technical and office support for survey projects. You will assist in preparing survey deliverables, drawings with AutoCAD Civil 3D, and field packages under guidance of project managers.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, ability to handle multiple tasks, and a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm schedule with possible overtime.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree, certificate, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a survey technician or related role.
• Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with MicroStation is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Demonstrates initiative and independent problem-solving skills for moderately complex tasks.
• Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform survey tasks with minimal guidance from the Survey Project Manager and Project Surveyor.
• Complete intermediate-level drawings and calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Review and verify the accuracy of data before submitting for review.
• Prepare detailed field packages, legal descriptions, and exhibits.
• Conduct occasional field checks and provide feedback to field crews.
• Compile, analyze, and manipulate survey data for use in reports and deliverables.
• Assist with deed research and abstracting, creating base maps, and processing data into final drawings.
