Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a Survey CAD Technician for our Orlando, FL office. This role provides technical and office support for survey projects, preparing a variety of deliverables while taking on increasing responsibility for independent tasks.

You will perform survey tasks under guidance, produce drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D, review data for accuracy, prepare field packages and legal descriptions, and assist with field checks and data processing for final drawings.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree, certificate, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a survey technician or related role.
• Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D; MicroStation a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform survey tasks with minimal guidance from the Survey Project Manager and Project Surveyor.
• Complete intermediate-level drawings and calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Review and verify the accuracy of data before submitting for review.
• Prepare detailed field packages, legal descriptions, and exhibits.
• Conduct occasional field checks and provide feedback to field crews.
• Compile, analyze, and manipulate survey data for use in reports and deliverables.
• Assist with deed research and abstracting, creating base maps, and processing data into final drawings.
