Job summary

NV5 is seeking a CAD Technician to support the Survey group in our Jacksonville, Florida office. The role focuses on drafting and mapping using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with emphasis on accuracy of field notes and compliance with Florida Standards of Practice.

Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D in surveying workflows.
• Knowledge of Florida Standards of Practice.
• Ability to review field notes and data for accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate proactively with team, permitting agencies, clients, sub-consultants, and others as needed
• Act as a team player, fulfilling your own responsibilities and supporting others as needed to help the team meet deadlines and complete tasks
• Understand legal descriptions terminology
• Review field notes and raw data files for mistakes
• Reduce field notes and perform necessary office calculationsEnsure that field procedures meet Florida Standards of Practice
• Prepare maps using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other associated survey module
