Survey CAD Technician

Department: Survey/Geomatics

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Raleigh, NC

Reporting To: AJ Perkinson

Description

As the CAD Technician, you will be responsible for the production of CAD deliverables and possess knowledge of surveying and mapping principles. A candidate with experience in MicroStation, Openroads, Utility, and Scan Extraction is ideal.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include

• Keeping up with current technology and changes to the software programs used.
• Performing calculations for field crews and mapping as needed.
• Analyzing deeds and researching materials for the production of the survey.
• Utilizing NCDOT or DRMP checklist throughout the performance of each project.
• Extracting linework and features from point clouds utilizing TopoDot software.
• Exhibiting a willingness to learn.

What you'll need

• NCDOT experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Extensive technical knowledge of CADD systems, including MicroStation, Geopak, ORD, Civil 3D, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately.
• Ability to join a collaborative team and contribute to the success of our projects.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
