Survey CAD Technician

Garver, a multi-disciplined and ENR Top 500 engineering firm and consistent recipient of 'Best Place to Work' awards, is seeking an experienced Survey CAD Technician to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This role involves converting field survey data into accurate and comprehensive CAD drawings, ensuring project compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Proficiency in MicroStation, InRoads, AutoCAD, and a strong understanding of land surveying principles are required. Responsibilities include gathering data, assisting with reproduction, quantity computations, and cost estimates under guidance and supervision.

This position collaborates with experienced design engineers and project managers in a fast-paced, high-performing, and professional environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Working knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD drafting and design software
• Working knowledge of Bluebeam or other PDF editors
• Working knowledge of drafting/design software
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with a mentor and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• A technical school certificate or associate degree in drafting, or relevant coursework and drafting experience
