Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation software is preferred.
• An Associate degree in Design and Drafting Technology is strongly preferred.

Job description

Location: Remote - Florida
400 S Monroe St
Tallahassee, FL 32399, USA

Note: For selected candidates, an AUTOCAD Test will be required.

What you'll do

• Transform roughly designed concepts from engineers into CAD working documents.
• Develop detailed construction drawings, topographical profiles, and related maps and specifications for gas pipeline projects.
• Plot maps and charts showing profiles and cross-sections, indicating topographical contours.
• Draft detailed drawings of structures.
• Assist survey crews in the field to collect data for drawing revisions.
• Calculate rights-of-way and street dimensions and angles.
• Create dimensional relationships of parts and their relation to the entire project, using engineering practices and mathematics.
• Use CAD software to create preliminary and final sketches of proposed drawings.
• Import ground survey data to create contour drawings for soil erosion and sediment control plans.
• Design supports for pipelines, including above- and below-ground supports.
• Modify drawings based on engineer or design coordinator instructions.
• Create as-built drawings upon project completion.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• An Associate of Applied Science degree in Design and Drafting Technology is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation software.
