Job summary

ESP Associates, Inc. is seeking a Survey CAD Technician for our Huntersville office. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or higher in surveying technology/geomatics or related field, and strong experience in land surveying.

The role may involve field work and requires proficiency in Civil 3D, Trimble software, and MS Office. A background check and valid driving record are expected as part of our safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in surveying tech/geomatics, civil engineering, or related field; SIT registration preferred but not required.
• 5+ years’ land surveying experience preferred.
• Strong self-motivation and organizational skills; experience with survey computations and platting; field experience required.
• Position may involve field work.
• Land development survey experience preferred; emphasis on land development projects is a plus.
• Experience with Civil 3D 2016+, Google Earth, Trimble Business Center, MS Word & Excel; familiarity withTrimble data collection devices and GPS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare field sketches and organize digital photos and daily checklists.
• Assist with daily file submittals and data downloads as part of project documentation.

ESP Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time Survey CAD Technician in our Huntersville office. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established and growing Engineering, Surveying and Planning firm!

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or higher in surveying technology/geomatics, civil engineering, or related field and/or registration as a SIT preferred, but not required.
• 5+ years’ experience in land surveying preferred.
• Candidate will be required to demonstrate strong self-motivational and organizational skills, experience with survey computations and platting as well as field experience required.
• Position may require work to be performed in the field.
• Land Development survey experience required with emphasis on land development projects a plus.
• Experience with following programs preferred: Civil 3D 2016 or higher, Google Earth, Trimble Business Center and Microsoft Word & Excel.
• Experience with the following equipment preferred: Trimble data collection, GPS receivers, robotic total stations
• Computer skills involved in the submittal of daily files including downloading of data, preparation/organization of field sketches & digital photographs, completion of daily checklists are required.
• Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.
