Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Chainman/Survey Assistant to join our Community Development group in Hawaii. You will perform land surveying, data collection, and mapping under supervision, contributing to boundary definitions and spatial analysis.

You will operate field instruments, assist with CAD/GIS drawings, and support a team on projects across varied terrains. A technical degree and driving capability are preferred for travel and on-site work.

Qualifications

Technical degree/diploma/certificate in related field or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Independently performs surveying assignments, making accurate measurements and data relevant to land features.
Operates and maintains surveying instruments including levels, Trimble robotic total stations, GPS equipment and data collectors.
Transfers survey data to proper files in the computer network and acquires data for field use.
Loads vehicles with tools and equipment, ensuring materials are loaded correctly.
Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
May assist in preparation of survey drawings using AutoCAD or GIS software.
Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
