Responsibilities

• Assist in training new hires and participate in ongoing Department training.
• Monitor and report deviations from property policies and procedures.

• Monitor and report violations of gaming integrity including cheating and suspicious transactions.
• Log and respond to radio calls.
• Maintain a log of routine tasks in Surveillance room and gaming floor.
• Observe internal cash asset transfers and escorts.
• Install new wiring, cameras, and software upgrades.
• Configure and maintain network services, equipment and devices.
• Administer the matrix, servers and server clusters.
• Manage all system backup and restore protocol.
• Plan and support network and computing infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot servers, workstations and related systems.
• Document network problems and resolutions for future reference.
• Monitor system performance and perform tuning.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Provide outstanding customer service to guests and team members.

Summary:

Monitor the property using a digital surveillance system to ensure compliance with gaming regulations; maintains shift log & reports suspicious activities. Also responsible for camera installations/moves, routing wires into the video matrix, then into the storage units (servers) which are entirely IP based (analog – matrix – digital).

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Position Requirements

• Digital Surveillance background or CCTV installation and/or maintenance.
• Knowledge of electronics, cameras, monitors.
• Knowledge of Computer Systems: Windows, Bosch, Surveillus.
• Thorough knowledge of networking essentials.
• Strong analytical skills.
• High School diploma.
• Previous security/surveillance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of surveillance equipment and cheating desirable.
• Knowledge of Table Games including Blackjack basic strategy and card counting. techniques, terminology, knowledge of cheat data bases, Crap and Roulette pay outs; Soft Count and Hard Count standards; Slot Operations and working knowledge of Nevada Gaming Standards and Regulations.
• Extensive knowledge of Surveillance digital recording system; possess knowledge of computer programs such as Word and Excel in order to document, via report writing.
• Strong communications skills to verbalize incidents and daily happenings in the department, along with strong reading and writing skills for reporting purposes.
• Willing to work any shift on any day.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
• Verify right to work in the United States.

Work Environment Conditions

The work environment is characterized as an office setting, where computers and standard office equipment will be supplied and used as a part of the job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The immediate work environment is smoke free; however a smoking environment does exist in the building.
