Job summary

Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland is seeking a Surveillance Operator to protect the integrity and safety of our gaming environment.

You will monitor activity across the floor and related areas using CCTV, document incidents, and report accurately to support regulatory compliance and guest safety. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years in security or surveillance, and the ability to obtain the Maryland license.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of experience in security and/or surveillance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the Maryland license as mandated by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.

Responsibilities

• Observe all activities of guests and team members on the casino floor, cage, change booths, and count rooms via CCTV for criminal activity and regulation violations.
• Observe areas of the casino, atrium, and parking areas for safety hazards.
• Operate monitor room equipment.
• Complete proper reports and documentation as needed.
• Assist in training in CCTV equipment and alarms.

Responsibilities

Where You’ll Make an Impact:

• Observe all activities of guest and team members on the casino floor, cage, change booths, and count rooms via the closed circuit television system for criminal activities and/or violation of the state lottery and gaming commission regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
• Observe areas of the casino, atrium, and parking areas for safety hazards to ensure the safety and security of all guest and employees.
• Operate monitor room equipment.
• Complete proper reports and documentation as needed.
• Assist in training in CCTV equipment and alarms.

Skills To Help You Succeed

• Knowledge of computers and CCTV equipment.
• Must be able to read/write in the English language.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

• High School Diploma or GED
• One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in security and/or surveillance.
• Willingness and ability to be flexible with work schedule. May require extended hours and work week from time to time.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary license as mandated by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work in a confined space with low lighting.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 30lbs.
• Must have excellent vision and hearing.
• Must be able to grasp, handle, and reach with hands and fingers.
• Stand and walk 30% of the time.
