Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland seeks a Surveillance Operator to protect the integrity, safety, and operations across the property, using CCTV monitoring and real-time reporting to deter wrongdoing and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will observe casino floor activities, document incidents, assist in CCTV training, and contribute to a secure guest and team environment in a fast-paced, 24/7 setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years in security or surveillance.
• Must obtain and maintain Maryland license per the state agency.
• Flexible schedule; may require extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Observe casino floor, cage, change booths, and count rooms via CCTV for violations.
• Identify safety hazards in casino areas to protect guests and staff.
• Operate monitor room equipment.
• Complete reports and documentation as required.
• Assist in CCTV equipment and alarms training.

Overview

The Surveillance Operator plays a vital role in protecting the integrity, safety, and operational excellence of Live! Casino & Hotel by continuously monitoring activity throughout the property. Your focus, attention to detail, and commitment to observing real-time operations help safeguard company assets, support regulatory compliance, and ensure a secure environment for both guests and team members. Through professional vigilance, sound judgment, and consistent accuracy in documenting and reporting activity, you contribute directly to maintaining a trusted and well‑protected gaming experience that reflects the high standards of the Live! brand.

Responsibilities

• Observe all activities of guest and team members on the casino floor, cage, change booths, and count rooms via the closed circuit television system for criminal activities and/or violation of the state lottery and gaming commission regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
• Observe areas of the casino, atrium, and parking areas for safety hazards to ensure the safety and security of all guest and employees.
• Operate monitor room equipment.
• Complete proper reports and documentation as needed.
• Assist in training in CCTV equipment and alarms.

Skills To Help You Succeed

• Knowledge of computers and CCTV equipment.
• Must be able to read/write in the English language.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

• High School Diploma or GED
• One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in security and/or surveillance.
• Willingness and ability to be flexible with work schedule. May require extended hours and work week from time to time.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary license as mandated by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work in a confined space with low lighting.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 30lbs.
• Must have excellent vision and hearing.
• Must be able to grasp, handle, and reach with hands and fingers.
• Stand and walk 30% of the time.

• Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
