Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking a Surveillance Technician to support the Derby City Gaming & Hotel surveillance team in Louisville, KY. Responsibilities include setting up cameras and network hardware, installing software, and programming devices to assist investigations.

The role requires 1–2 years of related experience or a degree, plus strong communication skills and the ability to obtain a Racing License.

Qualifications

Oral and written communication skills.
Willingness to assume responsibility relative to Surveillance Technician.
Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the Surveillance department.

Responsibilities

Set up new hardware such as cameras, switches, servers, etc.
Install and troubleshoot company approved software and web applications
Program cameras, switches, servers, computers, etc.
Provide quality problem resolution and process demonstration to the Surveillance Team.
Educate users to reduce recurring issues by offering proactive solutions.
Review cameras and recording decks to analyze video for report validity and investigations.
Maintain familiarity with gaming laws, regulations and company policies.
Monitor assets and ensure compliance with procedures across departments.
Maintain up-to-date procedures and policies documentation.
Store media for investigations and maintain documentation.
