The Surveillance Investigator is responsible for observing and investigating activities at Live! Casino in real time, reviewing past events, and monitoring potential actions by guests, team members, and others that may result in asset loss, including cash, tokens/chips, coupons, and property. The role also involves investigating and monitoring actions to protect the company from liabilities such as lawsuits and litigation, as well as supervising Surveillance Team Members.
Responsibilities (Text Only)
Where You'll Make an Impact:
- Observe and investigate casino operations for irregular activities such as cheating or theft by team members and guests, using audio and video equipment.
- Monitor establishment activities to ensure adherence to all state gaming regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Operate monitor room equipment.
- Report all violations and suspicious behaviors to supervisors, verbally and/or in writing.
- Complete proper reports and documentation as needed.
- Develop and implement effective surveillance department policies, procedures, and processes.
- Supervise department team members on procedures for protecting casino assets and internal controls to ensure safety and security.
- Assist in training Surveillance Operators.
- Develop and maintain relationships with representatives of the State Gaming Agency.
- Collaborate with the Risk Manager to investigate risk claims.
- Meet with departmental management and leaders as necessary.
- Protect company assets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills to Help You Succeed:
- Knowledge of computers and CCTV equipment.
- Ability to read/write in English.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
- Experience with investigative and report writing responsibilities is a plus.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain mental concentration for extended periods.
- Ability to perform duties under time pressure.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts.
- Willingness to learn gaming laws and regulations.
Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- Two-year associate or technical degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in Security or Surveillance within a comparable industry, with knowledge of digital surveillance equipment.
- Ability to work in an environment with alcohol and smoking.
- Ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by the Virginia Gaming Control Board or other regulatory entities.
