Qualifications

  • Two-year associate's or technical degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in Security or Surveillance.
  • Ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by the Virginia Gaming Control Board.

Responsibilities

With our rapid projected expansion, the Live! Casino & Hotel Brand is searching for the right talent to grow with the organization and help drive our future success.

The Surveillance Investigator is responsible for observing and investigating Live! Casino operations in real time, reviewing past events, and monitoring potential activities of guests, team members, and others that may result in asset loss, including cash, tokens/chips, coupons, and property. The role also involves investigating and monitoring actions to protect the company from liabilities related to lawsuits and litigation, as well as supervising Surveillance Team Members.

Responsibilities
  1. Observe and investigate casino operations for irregular activities such as cheating or theft by team members and guests, using audio and video equipment.
  2. Monitor establishment activities to ensure adherence to all state gaming regulations and company policies and procedures.
  3. Operate monitor room equipment.
  4. Report all violations and suspicious behaviors to supervisors, verbally and/or in writing.
  5. Complete proper reports and documentation as needed.
  6. Develop and implement effective surveillance department policies, procedures, and processes.
  7. Supervise department team members on procedures for protecting casino assets and internal controls to ensure safety and security.
  8. Assist in training Surveillance Operators.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with representatives of the State Gaming Agency.
  10. Work with the Risk Manager to investigate risk claims.
  11. Meet with departmental management and leaders as necessary.
  12. Protect company assets.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Willingness and ability to learn gaming laws and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Two-year associate's or technical degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in Security or Surveillance within a comparable industry, requiring knowledge of digital surveillance equipment.
  • Ability to work in an environment with alcohol and smoking.
  • Ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by the Virginia Gaming Control Board or other regulatory entities.
