Job summary

Plano ISD seeks a Technology/Security Systems Administrator to design, install, and maintain the district's surveillance camera and electronic door access systems, covering server software, end-user devices, and the supporting network.

Requirements include an associate degree, experience with VMS and access control, Windows Server, basic networking, scripting, and SQL concepts; strong vendor coordination and communication skills, with occasional after-hours support.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Certifications from Milestone, Genetec, Software House, Lenel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and maintain surveillance camera and electronic door access systems district-wide.
• Troubleshoot cameras, access control hardware, and related network connectivity.
• Coordinate with vendors for parts, repairs, and service.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, inventories, and licensing.
• Escalate issues per district protocols and ensure safety standards.
• Support after-hours and special projects as assigned.
