Job summary

Reliance Partners is a leading commercial insurance agency specializing in transportation and logistics, seeking a Surplus Lines Compliance Coordinator to manage filings and regulatory filings across states from its flagship Scottsdale office.

Ideal candidates will hold a business- or insurance-related degree, possess strong accounting knowledge, and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multitask and communicate effectively across teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles, incl. reconciliations, financial reporting accuracy, and premium tax calculations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Operations & Compliance and Sr. Director of Accounting and Finance with surplus lines licensing, filing, and regulatory compliance activities across applicable states and jurisdictions.
• Support the maintenance and renewal of agency and individual surplus lines licenses, registrations, and other state-specific requirements.
• Coordinate with producers, account managers, carriers, wholesalers, and internal teams to collect required documentation for surplus lines filings.
• Prepare and submit surplus lines filings and related documentation within required state and stamping office deadlines.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of affidavits, policy documentation, filing confirmations, and other regulatory records.
