Job summary

The Materials Handler I is a Part-Time role on the Logistics team in the Finance & Budget division at the University of Arizona. The person will prepare surplus desktop and laptop computers for resale through the surplus storefront, following established processes to ensure devices are sale-ready and properly documented.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, erasing data, restoring factory settings, performing Windows 11 updates, inventory logging, and providing courteous customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Basic knowledge of desktop and laptop computers.
• Ability to erase stored data and restore devices to factory settings.
• Ability to perform standard OS updates and memory installations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, handle, and inspect surplus desktop and laptop computers.
• Move equipment for sale and pickup according to procedures.
• Verify basic device functionality.
• Erase data and restore equipment to factory settings.
• Perform OS updates and memory installation.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist customers.
• Provide excellent customer service to storefront visitors.
• Answer routine questions and provide helpful information on devices.
