Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Reno is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join the Surgery Department. The position offers a starting pay band of $22.25–$32.00 per hour, with shift differentials for nights and weekends.

The role includes anesthesia support, sterile technique, IV access, patient nursing care, and continuous monitoring. We value strong teamwork, commitment to high-quality pet care, and opportunities for professional growth through our leveling system and continuing education

Qualifications

• Licensed veterinary technician in Nevada (or eligible)
• Experience in veterinary surgery preferred
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed orders; assist surgeons and clinicians
• Perform intubation, extubation, and monitor anesthesia
• Maintain sterile procedures and sanitation
• Provide nursing care to stable patients per hospital standards
• Place peripheral IV catheters and monitor patient status
• Record physical assessments and vital signs accurately
• Set up and manage IV fluids and pumps; monitor responses
