BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a Surgery Veterinary Technician to join our thriving Surgery department. The role involves assisting with anesthesia plans, monitoring anesthesia care, and supporting patients through pre-op to recovery in a fast-paced emergency/specialty setting.

Qualifications

• Veterinary technician with anesthesia experience.
• Ability to place IV catheters and assist in surgeries.
• Skilled in monitoring anesthesia and patient recovery.

Responsibilities

• Assist in anesthesia planning and formulating tailored anesthetic plans.
• Monitor anesthesia, troubleshoot complications, and intervene as needed.
• Place IV catheters, manage endotracheal intubation, and operate anesthesia equipment.
• Perform physical exams and monitor vital signs (pulse, capillary refill, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate).
• Track patient progress from pre-op through post-op and recovery, including records and discharge.
• Manage appointments, obtain histories, and handle invoicing and records.
