Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Cary and Raleigh is hiring a Surgery Veterinary Technician to support anesthesia and surgical care. You will work across two hospitals, splitting time to ensure coverage.

You will assist with anesthesia plans, monitor patients, place IV catheters, intubate, manage fluids, and participate in post-operative recovery. Candidates with licensure and experience in veterinary anesthesia are encouraged to apply; a leveling system rewards progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in anesthesia for surgical patients and formulat ing anesthetic plans.
• Ability to monitor anesthesia and respond to complications.
• Maintain medical records, histories, invoicing and patient discharges.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient procedures with anesthesia and analgesia protocols.
• Monitor anesthesia, troubleshoot complications and intervene as needed.
• IV catheter placement, endotracheal intubation, and equipment use/maintenance.
• Perform physical exams and record vital signs; monitor recovery.
• Set up IV fluids and CRIs; manage patient care across pre-op to post-op.
• Handle appointments, histories, invoicing, and discharge processes.
