Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Raleigh, NC, is hiring a Surgery Veterinary Technician to split duties between Cary and Raleigh hospitals. The role emphasizes anesthesia, monitoring, and patient care throughout pre-op, intra-op, and recovery stages.

You will assist with anesthetic plans, monitor anesthesia, and perform critical nursing tasks, while advancing skills with a supportive team and structured growth opportunities in a veterinary specialty setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary anesthesia preferred.
• Passion for anesthesia and patient care.
• Strong assessment and monitoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient procedures using anesthesia and analgesia knowledge, tailoring plans to each patient.
• Monitor anesthesia, troubleshoot complications, and intervene as needed.
• Perform IV catheter placement and endotracheal intubation, maintain anesthesia equipment.
• Conduct physical exams and monitor vital signs and mucous membranes.
• Set up IV fluids and CRI's; manage fluids and monitor for overload.
• Handle patient flow from pre-op through recovery and discharge.
• Manage appointments, histories, invoicing and medical records.
