BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery Team. The successful candidate will provide nursing care to stable patients, place IV catheters, perform physical exams, and monitor vital signs in a fast-paced surgical setting.

A minimum of two years in a veterinary hospital is preferred, with a rotating on-call schedule after training. We offer a supportive team environment with opportunities for growth, and a focus on delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in a veterinary hospital.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Rotating on-call schedule after training.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to stable patients per hospital standards and core values.
• Place peripheral intravenous catheters in the cephalic vein.
• Perform physical exams and monitor vital signs and mucous membranes.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and alert the doctor for abnormalities.
• Set up and administer intravenous fluids and subcutaneous fluids.
• Operate and troubleshoot intravenous fluid pumps and connections.
