Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in collaboration with physicians. The RN provides pre‑operative and post‑operative nursing care and acts as an advocate for patients to ensure an excellent experience.

Qualifications

• RN licensure (state-registered)
• 1 year RN acute care experience required
• ACLS within 6 months of employment start date
• BLS within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document care administration in the patient record promptly and thoroughly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical‑surgical patients
