Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Surgical/Trauma ICU at Baptist Medical Center South in Alabama. The FT Third Shift position supports the patient care team by handling routine, non-complex tasks and assisting RNs, LPNs, and physicians in the care process.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; CNA program completion preferred; BLS required. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduate from a certified Nursing Assistant Program or a Health Occupations Program (HOSA) preferred.
• Completion of first clinical rotation as a Nurse Student or 1 year of patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routine and non-complex aspects of patient care; support RNs, LPNs, and physicians.
• Provide care under supervision to ensure patient comfort and safety.
