Job summary

Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Surgical-Trauma ICU Patient Care Technician to join the patient care team. The PCT assists RNs, LPNs, and physicians with routine tasks and non-complex care within scope of role.

This regular full-time position on the third shift requires a high school diploma, CNA training or completion of nursing fundamentals coursework, and BLS certification; strong communication and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduate from a certified Nursing Assistant Program or a Health Occupations Program (HOSA) preferred.
• Completion of first clinical rotation as a Nurse Student (i.e. Nursing Fundamentals) or 1 year of patient care experience preferred.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs, LPNs, and Physicians in routine and non-complex patient care tasks.
• Support the patient care team within the scope of the role.
• Perform duties as assigned within clinical responsibilities.
