Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Surgical Trauma ICU unit in Georgia. This full-time night-shift role (36 hours per week) focuses on critically injured patients, applying evidence-based practices in a 14-bed ICU and ensuring top-level patient and family engagement.

You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop care plans, monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and document meticulously in the electronic health record.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans with the care team.
• Maintains a culture of safety and accurate EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Communicates effectively and delegates appropriately; pursues professional development.
