Job summary

Longview Regional Medical Center in Longview, TX is seeking a PRN RN for the Surgical Med/Surg unit. You’ll provide patient‑centered care using the nursing process and collaborate with physicians, nurses and staff to ensure high‑quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years in a clinical nursing role or student rotations in acute care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Assess patients and document findings; report changes.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team.
• Prepare for emergencies; perform CPR and code team actions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and discharge care.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Document care and participate in audits.
• Telemetry duties: monitor EKG, vital signs, report trends.
