Job summary

Longview Regional Medical Center is interviewing for an RN PRN. The Registered Nurse provides patient-centered care following the nursing process, coordinating care with physicians and the care team to ensure quality outcomes.

The role requires Texas RN licensure, BCLS certification, and 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care. ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred; orthopedics experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
• RN - Registered Nurse license required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support certification required
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with nursing process and policies
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings accurately
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency
• Develops and evaluates individualized care plans with the healthcare team
