Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Surgical Technology is required.
• Within the last five years, minimum three years of operating room experience or teaching in the field.
• Credentialed in surgical technology through a national cert program accredited by NCCA.
• Direct and specialized knowledge in the area of instruction.
• Design and deliver engaging educational content for diverse learners.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Organize and deliver class objectives in a clear, concise manner.
• Foster an orderly, safe environment in classrooms and labs.
• Maintain and prepare training aids, tools, and equipment.
• Keep curriculum current with industry standards and practices.
• Evaluate student performance through exams and practical assessments.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to help students succeed.
• Identify at-risk students and create individualized success plans.
• Build rapport with students, clinical partners, and colleagues.
• Provide periodic reporting to stakeholders.
• Meet with students and education personnel to discuss instructional programs.
• Deliver and maintain regular interaction in online course components.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress.
• Deliver engaging lectures and lab sessions, including diagnostic procedures and equipment operation.
