Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree in Surgical Technology is required.
• Four years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in the operating room is required.
• Must be credentialed in Surgical Technology (CST)
• Teaching experience is preferred.
• Direct and specialized knowledge in instruction is required.
• Ability to build rapport with students and colleagues; adaptable to industry changes.

Responsibilities

• Organize and deliver class objectives clearly.
• Maintain training aids, tools, and equipment in classroom and lab.
• Keep curriculum up to date with industry standards.
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and practicals.
• Provide feedback and support to help students succeed.
• Identify at-risk students and create individualized success plans.
• Foster relationships with students to meet program requirements.
• Provide regular reporting to stakeholders.
• Meet with students and staff to discuss instructional programs.
• Deliver engaging lectures and lab sessions; diagnose procedures and equipment operation.
