Job summary

Midlands Technical College Airport Campus seeks a Surgical Technology Instructor to educate and mentor students, integrating theory with hands-on clinical experience. The role includes developing curricula aligned with accreditation standards and assessing student competency across cognitive, psychomotor and affective domains.

The instructor will provide guidance, feedback, and professional mentorship to ensure graduates meet industry standards and succeed in surgical technology careers.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Current NBSTSA credential or equivalent recognized by ARC/STSA.
  • Minimum of three years of recent OR experience as a Surgical Technologist.
  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screening and immunizations.

Responsibilities

  • Educate and mentor students in classroom and clinical settings.
  • Develop and implement curriculum aligned with program objectives and accreditation standards.
  • Assess cognitive, psychomotor and affective learning outcomes to verify competency.
  • Provide guidance, feedback and professional mentorship to promote student success.
  • Ensure graduates meet the standards and expectations of the surgical technology profession.
