Job summary

Chestnut Surgery Center is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our ASC in Fresno, CA. The role supports both urology and ophthalmology surgeries, upholding sterile technique and high safety standards throughout each case.

You will prepare operating rooms, assist surgeons and nurses, and handle sterile processing while collaborating with staff to improve workflow and patient outcomes. This is a full-time, on-site position with a team-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
• Sterile Processing experience preferred.
• Previous ASC or hospital OR experience in urology and/or ophthalmology desired.
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and instrument care.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assist surgeons and nurses during urology and ophthalmology procedures, maintaining sterile technique.
• Perform sterile processing duties, including decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments.
• Collaborate closely with clinical and surgical staff to support workflow efficiency and patient safety.
• Participate in quality assurance and process improvement initiatives.
