Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assist surgeons and nurses during urology and ophthalmology procedures, maintaining sterile technique.
• Perform sterile processing duties, including decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments.
• Collaborate closely with clinical and surgical staff to support workflow efficiency and patient safety.
• Participate in quality assurance and process improvement initiatives.

Position Summary

Chestnut Surgery Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Surgical Technologistto join our growing team. The ideal candidate will support both urology and ophthalmology surgeries, uphold the highest standards of sterile technique and surgical safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up instruments, supplies, and equipment.

• Assist surgeons and nurses during urology and ophthalmology procedures, maintaining strict sterile technique.

• Perform sterile processing duties, including decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments.

• Collaborate closely with clinical and surgical staff to support workflow efficiency and patient safety.

• Participate in quality assurance and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program required.

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
