Job summary

UCHealth is seeking an Internal Traveler to facilitate safe, efficient surgical procedures in the UCHlth Operating Room. The role is full-time, weekend-days, with a 72-hour pay period and a $44.00/hour base pay plus a travel package/stipend.

Requires a high school diploma or GED or military training, DORA registration as Surgical Assistant/Surgical Technologist, and at least 1 year of experience. BLS is required and must remain valid through 60 days after hire.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• DORA registration as Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist.
• At least 1 year of surgical support experience.
• BLS certification in-hand before start date and valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room with drapes, instruments, supplies.
• Ensure equipment functions properly and assist with patient positioning.
• Pass instruments to surgeon and track instruments during surgery.
• Receive and process specimens for lab delivery.

Pay: $44.00 per hour plus travel package/stipend

LOCAL Traveler contract options available for those who reside within 75 miles

13 week assignments available

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED or Military Trained
• State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration (needs be through DORA)
• 1 year experience
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross with card in-hand before start date. BLS card must be good through sixty days of hire.

Summary

As an Internal Traveler, facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipmentand supplies.
• Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
