Job summary

Saint Thomas Hospital for Specialty Surgery is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. The technologist will scrub for procedures, maintain a sterile field, and prepare supplies and instruments as needed.

Candidates should have a CST certificate and be a strong team player with a solid understanding of aseptic technique and patient care. Spine and total joint experience is preferred; excellent communication with staff, patients, and physicians is essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• CST certification required.
• Experience in spine and total joint procedures preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to adapt to changing patient conditions.
• Excellent teamwork and communication with staff, patients, and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for surgical procedures and maintains sterile field.
• Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
• Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.
