Job summary

Holland Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the perioperative team. The ST will prepare the operating room, maintain sterile fields, assist with instrument handling, and support the surgeon and nurses to ensure patient safety and optimal procedure flow.

The role includes participation in 24-hour call coverage for emergencies and trauma, with a sign-on bonus of $7,500. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent experience is required, along with BLS within

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent.
• BLS for the Healthcare Provider by 60 days after hire required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room by ensuring required instruments, equipment, implants, medications, and supplies are available, sterile, and functioning properly.
• Establishes and maintains the sterile field throughout surgical procedures using aseptic technique and infection prevention standards.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and surgical team by selecting, preparing, and passing instruments, supplies, and equipment efficiently.
• Demonstrates proficiency in surgical instrumentation, specialty and emergency equipment, power equipment, and robotic technology.
• Assists with patient positioning, draping, specimen handling, and application of dressings while maintaining patient safety.
• Demonstrates competency across multiple surgical specialties and adapts to varying case complexity and surgeon preferences.
