Job summary

The Queen’s Health Systems in Honolulu, HI, offers a Surgical Technologist role within a nationally recognized program that leads robotic and minimally invasive procedures. You’ll work alongside expert surgeons, anesthesiologists, CNORs, CPANs, Surgical Technologists, and Nursing Assistants to deliver exceptional patient care.

As a Surgical Technologist, you will set up operating rooms, maintain sterile technique, assist during procedures, perform counts, prepare patients, and handle instruments

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist or OR Technician program; or 3 years of acute care/outpatient OR experience.
• Association of Surgical Technologists certification preferred.
• Current BLS/HCP certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Maintain aseptic and sterile technique throughout surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and supplies
• Perform surgical counts before, during, and after procedures to ensure patient safety
• Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and draping
• Properly handle, label, and care for surgical instruments and specimens
• Adhere to all hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines
