Job summary

North Coast Surgery Center in Independence, OH seeks a Certified Surgical Technician (PRN to start). The role begins per diem with potential to transition to part-time or full-time with benefits as the center grows. Duties include preparing equipment, setting up surgical instruments, and assisting the surgical team under physician or RN supervision.

Ideal candidates have CPR certification and 0-2 years of related clinical experience. Certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Set up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and solutions prior to operation.
• Tend to patient during pre-operation procedures and assist the surgical team.
• Assemble sterile and non-sterile equipment and verify it is working.
• Prepare patients for surgery by cleansing incision sites and positioning on the table.
• Assist with patient transfer to recovery and restock operating room after procedures.
