Job summary

Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Surgical Technologist PRN to support the operating room team. You’ll prepare the surgical suite and assist during operations while collaborating with a highly skilled team that values each member’s expertise.

Qualifications

• Certificate required; BLS/CPR or CST certification or LPN/LVN or ST must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the surgical suite with instruments and equipment for safe procedures.
• Assist with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Scrub in and provide instruments, handle specimens, and anticipate the surgical team's needs.
• Monitor patients and equipment during procedures and respond to concerns promptly.
• Uphold sterile technique, turnover rooms efficiently, and support a collaborative team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting up and maintaining the surgical suite with instruments, supplies, and advanced equipment to ensure safe, seamless procedures

• Assisting with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while prioritizing comfort, privacy, and safety

• Scrubbing in and partnering with the surgical team by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the team’s needs

• Monitoring patients and surgical equipment throughout procedures, responding promptly and effectively to any concerns

• Upholding sterile technique, completing room turnover efficiently, and supporting a high-performing, collaborative team environment

What qualifications you will need:

• Certificate

• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR, or (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist, or (LPN/LVN) Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse, or (ST) Surgical Technologist must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
