Qualifications

• Certification through the certifying body of the Association of Surgical Technologists, Inc. preferred or 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• AHA BLS Certification (required or obtained within 2 months of hire).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; detail-oriented and able to work in a team or independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and adaptability to new software.
• Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Arrange instruments for surgical procedures to maximize efficiency.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and support smooth procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique to ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other staff to deliver patient-centered care.
• Set up equipment and ensure it is in good working condition.
• Participate in counts and assist with handling of surgical specimens.
• Assist in patient transfer and post-operative care with professionalism.
