Job summary

Community Medical Center in Missoula, Montana, is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) for the OR. This full-time, day-shift role supports the surgical team, ensuring sterile technique, proper instrumentation, and efficient case flow.

The ideal candidate has an AAS in Surgical Technology and BLS within one month of hire, with a preference for at least 1 year of acute care experience. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Surgical Technology from an accredited program.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) within one month of hire.
• Preferred 1 year of acute care surgical technologist experience.
• Strong verbal, written, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Completion of case carts
• Proper communication with operating room staff
• Cleaning and care of operating rooms, core, and equipment
• Decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of instrumentation
• Surgeon preference card maintenance
• Supply outdates
• Weekday and weekend call coverage
