Job summary

SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital in Missouri seeks a Surgical Technologist to provide technical scrub skills in the operating room during surgical procedures and support the surgical team as needed. Must be energetic, highly motivated to support the success of Saint Louis University Hospital.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent preferred; CERTIFICATION: CST or equivalent required; WORKING CONDITIONS: Travel between ORs may be required; DAY SHIFT/Full-time position

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required.
• Ability to travel between operating rooms as needed.
• Experience with operating room equipment and aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Performs care for patient safety and well-being.
• Able to scrub any procedure in primary cluster.
• Able to operate all equipment in primary cluster.
• Demonstrates ability to operate computer by correct data entry.
• Maintains safety and infection control standards.
• Cooperates with ACU and PACU to assist as requested.
• Provides service excellence to patients and families with timely, high-quality care.
• Shows teamwork and communication to support workflow and patient confidentiality.
