Job summary

Longmont United Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to support a high-volume surgical department. You will help organize and maintain a sterile operating room, pass instruments to surgeons and nurses, and assist with patient preparation and transfer.

The role requires current surgical tech certification, strong attention to detail, and calm, effective communication in a fast-paced team. On-call coverage is part of the schedule and 30-minute callback radius applies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program.
• Current Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
• Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for associates working in Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Maintain highest standard of sterile technique and perform proper counts.
• Prepare back table and mayo stand; anticipate surgeon needs via preference cards.
• Set up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications.
• Provide on-call coverage outside standard hours as required by policy.
• Assist with patient positioning and room turnovers to ensure safety and efficiency.
