Job summary

Mountain View Surgical Specialists in Denver, CO seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will prepare rooms and instruments, maintain sterile technique, and ensure readiness of equipment and supplies for procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year operating room experience; 2 years preferred.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent training required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of sterile processing standards and surgical equipment operation.
• Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments according to established procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Maintain sterile fields and follow aseptic techniques throughout procedures.
• Assist with surgical counts and initiate corrective actions when needed.
• Operate and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies in proper working condition.
• Assist with inventory management, equipment troubleshooting, and OR turnover.
• Ensure the surgical suite remains clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and staff to support optimal patient care.
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement and professional development initiatives.
